The following list should make it easier for you to choose the right offer. Overconfidence is an underestimated risk!
Easy hikes
- Mostly good and safe paths in easy terrain
- Walking time 3-4 hours per day
- Ascents and descents from 200 m to 500 m
- Low requirement for fitness and sure-footedness
- Trails marked in yellow or blue on the hiking map
Heavy hikes
- Narrow but marked paths, partially exposed places and possibly only climbing tracks
- Walking time 4-8 hours per day. Rarely more
- Ascents and descents up to 1000 m
- Very good condition, head for heights and sure-footedness required
- Hiking experience in the mountains is a prerequisite
- Trails marked in black on the hiking map
Medium hikes
- Narrow but marked paths, partially exposed places
- Walking time 3-6 hours per day
- Ascents and descents from 300 m to 600 m
- Good condition, head for heights and sure-footedness required
- Hiking experience in the mountains an advantage
- Trails marked in red on the hiking map
Hochtour
- Walking time up to 5-8 hours per day, sometimes at high altitude
- Ascents and descents up to 1.400 m possible
- Very good physical constitution, stamina, a head for heights and sure-footedness required
- Mountain hiking experience is a prerequisite, alpine experience helpful
- Should only be done with a mountain guide due to the possible alpine dangers
