The following list should make it easier for you to choose the right offer. Overconfidence is an underestimated risk!

Easy hikes

  • Mostly good and safe paths in easy terrain
  • Walking time 3-4 hours per day
  • Ascents and descents from 200 m to 500 m
  • Low requirement for fitness and sure-footedness
  • Trails marked in yellow or blue on the hiking map

Heavy hikes

  • Narrow but marked paths, partially exposed places and possibly only climbing tracks
  • Walking time 4-8 hours per day. Rarely more
  • Ascents and descents up to 1000 m
  • Very good condition, head for heights and sure-footedness required
  • Hiking experience in the mountains is a prerequisite
  • Trails marked in black on the hiking map

Medium hikes

  • Narrow but marked paths, partially exposed places
  • Walking time 3-6 hours per day
  • Ascents and descents from 300 m to 600 m
  • Good condition, head for heights and sure-footedness required
  • Hiking experience in the mountains an advantage
  • Trails marked in red on the hiking map

Hochtour

  • Walking time up to 5-8 hours per day, sometimes at high altitude
  • Ascents and descents up to 1.400 m possible
  • Very good physical constitution, stamina, a head for heights and sure-footedness required
  • Mountain hiking experience is a prerequisite, alpine experience helpful
  • Should only be done with a mountain guide due to the possible alpine dangers
